Join us in our Mission

Our mission is not about making a profit...

Bruised Reed Foundation helps people facing barriers to employment rebuild stability, confidence, and independence through supportive employment, job training programs, workforce development services, mentorship, life-skills education, and connections to practical resources. Our name reflects the biblical image of compassion toward a person who is wounded but not beyond restoration: ‘A bruised reed he will not break.’ We believe people should not be defined forever by incarceration, homelessness, disability, mental-health challenges, or past hardship. With accountability, opportunity, and consistent support, lives can be rebuilt. Our work is rooted in the conviction that healing rarely happens in isolation. It happens in relationship — in the quiet act of showing up, of listening without judgment, of staying when others have walked away. We are here for the long walk, providing community mentorship and support along the way.

Ultimately, we hope this funding will allow us to do more than help someone obtain a job. Our goal is to help individuals establish stability, rediscover their dignity and potential, strengthen their families, and build a future they once may not have believed was possible.

Our program is rooted in the biblical promise that “a bruised reed He will not break.” Where others may see brokenness, we choose to see potential. Through compassion, accountability, opportunity, and practical support, our goal is to help each participant move from simply surviving to becoming stable, self-sufficient, and equipped to build a new life.
